Maersk Oil has been offered five new offshore licences in the 23rd UK bidding round. Two of the licences are located in the central North Sea and three on the Atlantic margin west of Shetlands. Maersk Oil will be operator in four of the licences. One of the operated licences is offered to Kerr-McGee and will be part of the activities acquired by Maersk Oil.
