Maersk Oil participates in two Production Sharing Contracts in Algeria. Maersk Oil's share of the oil production was some 30,000 barrels per day in 2007 .

In the contract covering Blocks 404a and 208, Maersk Oil participates with a 12.25% interest, ENI with a 12.25% interest, while Anadarko (operator in cooperation with the Algerian state oil company Sonatrach) holds a 24.5% interest and Sonatrach holds the remaining 51% interest.

In the contract covering Block 403 c/e, awarded in 2002, Maersk Oil participates with a 25% interest, whereas Anadarko, the operator, holds 50%. The remaining 25% is held by Sonatrach.
