In April 2004, Maersk Oil entered into a Petroleum Agreement for the Tarfaya Shallow Area. The concession area covers some 15,000 sq. kms and is situated offshore in the North Atlantic immediately north of Tarfaya. Maersk Oil is the operator with a 75% interest.
