It is something we are pleased with - and a tangible result of our cooperation with the State of Qatar.”
Maersk Oil Qatar is playing a significant role in supporting Qatar in its vision to become one of the world’s major energy players. Together with Qatar Petroleum, the company is undertaking one of the world’s largest and most complex development projects - developing Qatar’s largest offshore oil reservoir, the Al Shaheen field. HRH the Crown Prince met with management and employees of Maersk Oil Qatar as the delegation toured the company’s offices in Doha, where they learned of the vast scale of operations taking place and the challenges overcome, under the continuous directives and support of HE the Minister of Energy & Industry and Deputy Premier HE Abdullah Bin Al Attiyah and Qatar Petroleum.
The visit to Qatar also gave the delegates the opportunity to see first hand the accomplishments that Qatar has made in recent years, under the leadership of HH the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
