Award of Exploration Licenses in the 25th UK Licensing Round
Maersk Oil North Sea UK Ltd has been successful in the 25th UK Licensing Round with the award of four blocks as announced by DECC on 12 November (See attached map).
Block 15/19c (split) southern part was awarded to MONS (100%) with a commitment to drill two exploration wells.
Block 22/29c (split) southern part was awarded to MONS (75%, operator) and Dana (25%) with a commitment to drill one exploration well and seismic reprocessing.
Block 29/10b was award to MONS (50%, operator) and Ithaca (50%) with a commitment to reprocess 3D seismic.
Block 204/18 (split) southern part was awarded to MONS (100%) with a commitment to acquire a line of electromagnetic data, reprocessing of 3D seismic and one contingent on positive results of work programme.
