Mærsk Olie og Gas AS is responsible for the sale and marketing of A.P. Møller – Mærsk A/S' share of natural gas produced in the Danish North Sea.

In 2005 sales gas from the DUC fields in the North Sea amounted to approx. 8.8 billion cubic meters (Bcm) in total of which A.P. Møller – Mærsk A/S’ share was approx. 3.4 billion cubic meters (Bcm).

Until July 2004 all the natural gas exported from the DUC fields was delivered into the Danish gas grid. A new gas pipeline from Tyra to the European continent was put into operation in July 2004 and has enabled export of additional gas from the DUC fields in the North Sea. The new pipeline connects the DUC facilities with Den Helder, the Netherlands, through the NOGAT grid system in the North Sea.
